Our vessel is designed for comfort. We have all the amenities of home to make your experience with us as smooth and as easy-going as possible.
Salon
Relax in style and comfort as you await your turn to reel in your trophy fish or to take a break from the elements. The salon features a nearly 360-degree view of your surroundings.
Kitty Hawk 3 also features a Bluetooth sound system which can be used to play your favorite music while on your way to the next spot or as you wait for your turn to reel in!
Galley
Feel free to enjoy our provided snacks and drinks. Discuss with the captain about your plans with your adult beverages. If there are any special allergen concerns, please let the captain know ahead of time.
Head
Full size flush toilet with sink and running water.
State Room
We are stocked with a cozy queen sized bed in case it is needed. Please inquire with the captain for this amenity.

At Kitty Hawk Charters, we understand that not everyone has years of experience on the water. We excel in a family-friendly educational experience. This is why we provide you with the boat and all the equipment necessary for success.
The captain is always more than happy to share his knowledge with the techniques and equipment being utilized.
Kitty Hawk is loaded up with two sonar/fish finders, four redundant GPS systems, an auto pilot, the latest in Doppler radar technology, fishing rods, reels, and tackle to get you safely to and from prime fishing locations. And, of course, the captain also cleans and bags your catch!
What snacks/drinks are allowed aboard?
Snacks, water, and sports drinks will always be allowed on the Kitty Hawk. Feel free to use our galley to keep your drinks cool and prepare your snacks; we also provide light snacks, water, sport drinks, and soda on every trip. Please inform the captain about any plans to drink alcoholic beverages on board before your booking day!
NOTE: Glass bottles or glassware is not permitted on board. Please use plastic, cans or paper containers for beverages and snacks.
What if there is bad weather on our booking day?
The captain and crew of Kitty Hawk Charters are focused on providing an outstanding experience. The captain will monitor the weather in advance of your trip if you are flexible and another day may work with better conditions.
We are more than happy to accommodate. The captain and crew reserves the right to cancel a trip due to bad weather or if there is a maintenance issue; in either case, your deposit will be refunded in full and we'll make every attempt to reschedule you as soon as possible or perhaps on another boat.
Is this vessel DNR inspected?
Yes, Kitty Hawk III is Michigan DNR inspected. Captain Kitty Hawk is also licensed by the US Coast Guard to carry passengers in the Great Lakes and near coastal waters of the USA with an assistance towing endorsement, as well as a Michigan Charter Boat Association member. What are the boat rules?
Tim "Captain Kitty Hawk" Rawlings remains focused on guests having a good time; however safety remains paramount. Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks but "overindulging" in alcohol, rude/unsafe behavior or intentional abuse of the boat or any equipment, will not be tolerated at any time. Please refrain from bringing glass bottles or containers onboard. The captain reserves the right to close the cooler and return to the dock if the situation calls for it.
Absolutely no illegal drugs are allowed on the boat!
